Zithromax is one of the brand names under Azithromycin. This drug is classified under antibiotics. It has a bactericidal effect. This means that it stunts or hinders the proliferation of the bacterial colonies infecting a certain organ or system. This drug also belongs to the group called macrolide antibiotics. Azithromycin is used to treat a lot of diseases examples of which are respiratory infections, STD’s (Sexually Transmitted Disease), infections on our skin and ears. 5. Enlighten your physician if you are with child, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you turn out to be pregnant while taking Azithromycin, call your physician
6. Continue your normal diet, unless your doctor modifies it.
